The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will begin a nationwide mass revenue mobilisation exercise on Monday, November 9, 2026, to recover outstanding electricity bills from customers.
The exercise, which will run until Friday, November 27, will cover residential, commercial and industrial customers, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with unpaid bills.
In a notice issued on Saturday, November 7, ECG urged customers with outstanding bills to settle their arrears ahead of the exercise to avoid disconnection and additional reconnection fees.
The Company said special teams would be deployed to monitor the exercise and warned that customers who engage in illegal electricity connections, interfere with the operation or undertake unauthorised self-reconnection after disconnection would be apprehended and prosecuted.
ECG also advised customers who cannot access their bills to visit the nearest ECG office for assistance and encouraged consumers to use its approved payment channels, including the ECG Mobile App, to settle outstanding amounts.
“Customers with arrears are advised to pay their bills now to avoid disconnection, and payment of reconnection fees,” the Company stated.
Customers who require assistance can contact ECG through its contact centre on 0302611611 or its social media platforms.
